”What did you come here for?” He said.
And you look at him again as he stands in front of you. You crossed the street to get here, to get to this point in front of him. But why did you come?
“Was it really to see me? Or did you just want to pet fluffy?”
Fluffy wags his tail on the ground. The beautiful little beast, the fluffiest, whitest, cutest little dog 🐶.
Did you come here for the good fluff, the good stuff? Or did you walk all this way for him. To converse with him, to hold him.
Or was it just to reach out and pet the perfect little cloud ☁️ which harbours next to him, the cutest piece of fluffy feelings that gathers in his presence.
Did you just come to pet the fluff today? Because you wanted a ‘pick me up’ because you wanted a high ride.
Or did you walk here to chat to him? Did you cross the street , did you pause your day, to come into HIS presence, no fluff attached.
Don’t come here for the dog. 🐶
Come here for the man, 👨 that he is. Come because of WHO he is.
Fluffy will no doubt jump all over you in a minute. Naturally. Because she knows you. Because fluffy recognises your smell. Because fluffy loves who he loves.
Just don’t come just for fluffy.
John 14:16-17
16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you for ever – 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will bec in you.
John 6: 26-27
26Jesus answered, ‘Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. 27Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.’
