From one extreme to the other.

It’s funny how we are presented with many opportunities, opportunities to set ourselves back for someone else, or to stand upon them and launch ourselves.

Have a think for a moment, remember the last good thing you done. It cost you.

It might have cost you in time, 🕰️ it might have cost you in money, it might have cost you in energy. Maybe not them all at once, but it definitely cost you something.

It cost you something to be kind. It cost you something to be noble and nice. It cost you something to hold your tongue. What did it cost?

There are some actions which are foot launching. Some actions which people participate in when the opportunity arises, the opportunity to gain at another’s expense, the opportunity to seize the moment and capitalise on it. The opportunity to launch themselves further on the back of another person.

Be him who disperses himself, be the wheat 🌾 that spills from itself so that others may receive, so that others will experience in that life which is inside of the kernel.

John 12:24-26

²⁴ Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. ²⁵ Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.²⁶ Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.

How much do you love your own money? How much do you love your own time? Are you in the right place of perspective, are you balancing that boat of stewardship and giving. Or do you love your life so radically that it is put out of perspective. So much so that it is out of place.

We as humans often think that if we are not ahead of the crowd then we are behind. And actually that is exactly where we as Christian’s need to be. We need to step back and step back.

And step back again.

We do need to give, some time, some money and some of ourselves.

Step back. And step back again.

You see Gods view is so different than man’s view.

Men and women may look at you and see your lowly place. They watch and you step back, and they wonder. They don’t understand the position of the que.

You see in medieval battle, I will tell you where the king usually is.

Behind.

Expendable people usually are at the front of the battle.

You see Jacob, when he approached a possible attack from his brother Easu, he cast forward the servant wives with their children. Then Leah with her children and lastly, the gem, 💎 the most important, Rachel and Joseph stayed at the end.

Genesis 33:2

2He put the female servants and their children in front, Leah and her children next, and Rachel and Joseph in the rear.

Precious don’t go first, precious stays at the back.

Gods que is going the opposite way.
