As I drove this morning to do some voluntary work the roads were clear as expected. Not too many people are up doing something at this time on a Saturday morning and yet it perfectly aligned with time 🕰️ for a near miss.
As I entered the roundabout and drove around it a car pulled out in front of me aggressively, they were determined to drive and I had to break hard.
For me, it was intense. Adrenaline was coursing through my veins and my body shook and trembled with the possibilities of what could’ve happened, of the disaster of such a wrecked mess of an accident.
And yet it was a near miss, it was an almost. It was two rocket ships 🚀 about to collide and yet they did not.
How many near misses do we have? And how many near misses does he hold?
How many times has the evil one clutched you within his hand and held you tightly? How many times has he grabbed your ankle and tried to pull you under? How many times have you been on the edge of the cliff and about to fall over?
How many times has God held your near misses?
How many disasters and problems could have been, but never were, only for the love of God.
How many times should you have gone under but he lifted you up high.
How many times has he preserved you? How many times has he preserved your life? Preserved your family, preserved your income, preserved your Home? How many times has he preserved everything that you are on the inside?
Funny that we should even be talking about the preserve, because yesterday I bought two preserves in a beautiful little local shop that I’ve never been to before.
Preserve. That’s what he is doing for you because this fruit shall not go rotten, this fruit shall not go mouldy.
This fruit of yours, he has jarred and preserved. He has covered you like the lid. He has sealed you in like the jar in the pot of warm water.
Preservation my friend, you have been preserved by God for an almighty destiny that Satan cannot take you from.
Near miss you shall have, a near miss may it be, all it shall ever be is a miss.
A near miss that you have, but a near miss that he shall hold.
You have been preserved and that is how far it will come, just a near miss.
Preservation, preserved for its date of destiny.
Psalm 41:2
2 The Lord protects them
and keeps them alive.
He gives them prosperity in the land
and rescues them from their enemies.
