As I sang in church with my daughter beside me, who of course wasn’t singing.
There was a moment of affliction on my heart, a moment of unease in my mind. And I was reminded of the soup pot. I was reminded of the flavour that is embedded into the vegetables and the water, just because of whose presence it’s in.
The bone 🦴 is here.
That meaty delicious flavour, it’s here.
Gods spirit is here.
Gods spirit is within me, and he will, through me, bring this flavour into every piece that’s in my pot.
And I seen that static vegetable pot, I was in the pot, my daughter was in the pot. And then I heard it.
‘I just need to stir’
🙌 🙌 🙌
Yes 🙌 yes 🙌 yes!🙌
He just needs to stir!
It’s already here, it’s already steeping into all in my pot. The spirit of God is already embedded. Flavour is embedding into them.
Just a stir, I’m just waiting on his finger to dip and stir them, to stir their hearts.
Come on and move father.
Stir, stir, stir!
And as I pondered this thought this morning in the car on the way to work, I felt him say,
Some people are in need of a blender, some people reading this are waiting for the breaking down, the crumbling of the strong walls.
Rest assured, he is the almighty blender.
Rest assured, he is the greatest version of a ninja soup blender.
He is sautéing, he is cooking, he is stirring and he is blending.
Ooo
Salvation soup, 🥣 I heard there now.
Yes 🙌
Salvation soup.
Come spirit, come father. Come and serve your soup.
Take all. Take every one around us, take our family, take our friends, take everyone we know, they are yours.
Soups are always better with a variety of vegetables. 🥔🥕🥦🍆 🌽
Salvation soup is coming. He’s gonna stir, he’s gonna blend, he’s gonna bring it to the table.
Salvation. 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Thank you 🙏 father. You are more than good. More than generous and more than kind.
Isaiah 42:13
The LORD will march out like a champion, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies.
Exodus 35:26
And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun goats’ [hair].
