As the coffee pours through the filter, the filter does nothing but simply allows it to pass; the filter if pure will add nothing to the flavour of the beans and also take nothing away. Simple flow. Up to down. From within to out.

The typewriter thinks not of the next word or sentence, it decides not the next paragraph. The typewriter is simply there, allowing its buttons to be pushed, allowing its ink to flow, allowing a mark to be left.

During my time working with coffee one day I was cleaning out the back, and I seen on a shelf high above me, a box.

‘100% pure filter’

And I knew that God was talking to me about what I needed to be. 100 percent pure filter, add nothing and take away nothing.

That is my prayer that I may be used to the full, that his outpour will always be HIS outpour.

Come my friend, let me wrap my arm around you.

Enough is enough Eve

The purpose of Eve was to be the answer to the question.

When Adam saw his solution, he was satisfied with it, bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh, joint heir, joint partnership, joint image of God and now God’s creation was complete because Eve was enough to fill in the missing gap.

Genesis 3: 4-5

4‘You will not certainly die,’ the snake said to the woman. 5‘For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.’

What a mic 🎤 drop. Satan said one sentence that implied multiple things, and probed multiple question’s to Eve.

Is God’s word enough?

Is what God says enough?

Is God’s direction and instruction enough?

Or is it lacking Eve?

And now the question is, is the knowledge Eve has enough? Is their status in the garden enough? For Eve there was this question of enough.

What is not enough in this scenario? What is lacking luster for Eve?

What is not enough? And Eve, I’m not too sure if you probably have the right answer yet. Because Eve, we’ve been asking this question to ourselves. For many, many, many years. We’ve asked ourselves this question so many times.

Since the garden. We’ve asked the question so many times. Am I enough? Because no longer has the voice of God been enough for you, Eve.

You have questioned God and you have questioned yourself. All because you have allowed the accuser to question you. So I ask you today, Eve, are you enough? Are you enough in a world that says you are not?

Are you enough in a society that tells you you are not enough?

When the world around you that you interact with and engage with is constantly relaying the message to you, Eve, Eve, are you enough?

Is your hair good enough? Is your face young enough? Are your clothes trendy enough? Is your life lively enough? All of these questions, Eve, are always about you and your enoughness. It’s all about the lack of enough that you see in yourself, Eve.

And I wonder when you look in the mirror today, I wonder when you’ve seen yourself this morning, I wonder which part of you the accuser accused is not enough? Because, daughters of Eve, we are still in a big garden. You might even want to call it a jungle.

And there are so many different trees to eat from. I wonder, Eve, if today, if this year, if at this point in your life, I wonder, is God’s word finally enough? Is it finally enough to know what God says about you, Eve?

Or do you still question that? I wonder, Eve, are you still looking around at your position, your place, and still questioning whether it is enough? I wonder, Eve.

Daughters of Eve, I wonder if you are enough today? Are you finally enough? Are you finally going to be all that you were made to be? A mighty answer. You are enough.

Genesis 2:18

18The LORD God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.’

Enough to fill the gap and enough to fill the void. You are enough as you have been made. In the likeness of God you are enough. Daughters of Eve.

Maybe today we can start being enough. Maybe today we can start seeing ourselves as enough. Maybe we can start declaring what God has said about us.

I think we might just be able, I think we might be able to finally see all that God has created us to be.

Let’s stop questioning the voice of God in our lives, let’s stop questioning His words upon us, let’s stop questioning and entertaining that question that all around you seems to propel at you, of am I enough, because you are enough, and maybe today we can stop allowing the question of are we really enough.

Let us reinstate ourselves in the place that God created us to be. Image bearers of the Almighty.

Woman. You are enough.

Genesis 3:11

And he said, ‘Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree from which I commanded you not to eat?’

Who told you that you were naked? Whose words have you listened to? Who is influencing your life?

Thank you father that your words are life to us, your words are kind and merciful. Even through our disobedience to you, you are still kind, still loving us and still caring for us.

You have not left us.

Even when the accuser accuses us, you have stood at the throne Jesus, and declared our righteousness through you. 🙌🙌 Hallelujah 🙌
