As the coffee pours through the filter, the filter does nothing but simply allows it to pass; the filter if pure will add nothing to the flavour of the beans and also take nothing away. Simple flow. Up to down. From within to out.

The typewriter thinks not of the next word or sentence, it decides not the next paragraph. The typewriter is simply there, allowing its buttons to be pushed, allowing its ink to flow, allowing a mark to be left.

During my time working with coffee one day I was cleaning out the back, and I seen on a shelf high above me, a box.

‘100% pure filter’

And I knew that God was talking to me about what I needed to be. 100 percent pure filter, add nothing and take away nothing.

That is my prayer that I may be used to the full, that his outpour will always be HIS outpour.

Come my friend, let me wrap my arm around you.

A coffee ☕️ bean of correlation

I spent some time reorganising and reshuffling and later that evening something caught my eye.

It was on the floor and it was dark and I’ve seen that shape before.

So I got ready for the attack. I got ready for the kill.

I got ready to strike and strike I did. I got some kitchen roll and then I stood on it. And when I took my foot off, when I bent down, I noticed that it wasn’t what I thought.

No, it wasn’t a bug. It was a coffee bean. All that preparation. All that determination. All that adrenaline. All that attack. For nothing. Or seemingly nothing, right?

But only just a few hours later, into the early hours of the morning, that I was still awake, still cleaning about, something caught my eye.

Something dark. Something that was in the same spot as before. But this time, it had eight legs. This time it moved.

This time it was in action. This time, this is it. And after my victory, I pondered the significance of this.

Because let’s be honest. Mistakes don’t happen on God’s timing. Coincidences don’t occur not without correlation.

So what were you trying to say to me God? What were you trying to say?

And I believe it’s this.

David? Hey? The grizzly bear is just practice.

Hey David, the lion? He’s also just practice.

To prepare your attack, David. To prepare your action. To prepare your reaction. In preparation for what I’m going to set before you. In preparation for the giant that soon comes your way. David, here’s just a little bit of practice. Here is something for you to throw at first.

A coffee bean of correlation.

Because a coincidence is never a coincidence in God’s plan.

Correlation with purpose, with destiny.

All in his correlation design.

1 Samuel 17: 33-37

33 Saul replied, ‘You are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a young man, and he has been a warrior from his youth.’ 34 But David said to Saul, ‘Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, 35 I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. 36 Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. 37 The LORD who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.’

Satan tells us, “No, you can’t possibly take this on, there’s no way you’re going to overcome this giant.”

No no, Satan, you see my father, he has been preparing me in faith, he has been coaching me in mercy. He has allowed me to be tested and he has allowed me to grow.

Yes this is a new giant. Yes, we haven’t done this particular one before.

But my God has not left me without some experience or amour. My God has been refining my spiritual abilities.

Because my God who trained me with the coffee bean was teaching me to kill the spider. 🕷️

Yes Goliath is strong. Yes he taunts, yes he is experienced at this game he plays.

But my God is stronger 💪💪💪

I am not going to be moved!

He delivered me from every situation and circumstance before today and HE WILL rescue me from the giant. 🙌🙌🙌🙌
