“Look down child, what do you see?”
“I see water 💧 father”
“Is that all you can see?” Dad asked.
“Yes,” the child replies.
Father lifts your hand in his own and dips it into the pond.
“What do you feel?” He asks.
You swish your hand around a little. You feel the water through your fingers.
“Just the water.”
“That’s because your hands are small child and so is your arm.”
Dad plunges his hand into the water surface.
“When I look at the water, I see more then you see on the surface, I see below.”
His hand retreats with three objects in an open hand; a small fish 🐟, a rock 🪨 and a piece of algae weed.
The fish is swatting around in his hand.
“I see the movement beneath the surface, I see the progression, results and the impact underneath.”
He plops the fish back into the pond.
His hand returns with the algae weed and rock.
“I see the spirit flowing around you and flowing around your life, it flows even when you cannot see it flow, it sways back and forth.”
He drops the algae weed into the pond and it floats off.
He has left the stone. Small and grey.
“I see the permanent, the everlasting, the kindness and love, I see my place in your life, firm and strong 💪, I see myself at the bottom of every day in your life, I’m at the bottom of every situation and circumstance and when you can’t see me on the surface, know that I am below, holding your water above myself. There is no amount of water that can crush me, no ripple strong enough to move me. My place is secure and your place in me is just as secure. Stand on me when you are neck deep in water. I still do not move from my position.”
There is so much more going on beneath all of this than what meets your hand and eye.
Job 34:21
“For His eyes are upon the ways of a man,
And He sees all his steps”
